It was the first series of that ran from 1988 to 1990.
Plot Peter, Susan, Edmun and Lucy Pevensie are siblings who are sent to live with Professor Digory Kirke in the country side. Lucy finds a wardrobe in Kirke's house and finds herself in the woods.
She meets a faun named Mr. Tumnus, who explains she is in the land of Narnia. Lucy visits Mr. Tumnus's house, only to find he was to send her to the White Witch, ruler of Narnia.
Tumnus doesn't, and returns her to the real world. No one of Lucy's siblings believe her.
Later, Lucy and Edmund enter again, but Lucy is lost. Edmund encounters the White Witch.
Edmund explains his origins to her and is told to bring her siblings next time. She leaves, and Edmund reunited with Lucy, who visited Tumnus. Edmund and Lucy return.

Still, no one believes them. Days later, all siblings find themselves in Narnia. Tumnus is discovered to be gone, arrested by the White Witch for treason. The children find a beaver, who gives them lodging and explains Aslan, the great lion, will save Tumnus and end the White Witch's reign. The children have to meet Aslan, due to a prophecy. Edmund disappears, and is discovered that he went to the White Witch. There, the White Witch is furious that her siblings were not brought.
Edmund, however tells her of her siblings wearabouts, and that Aslan has returned. The beavers and children hide. Father Christmas finds them and presents the children with gifts. They continue their journey as the snow melts, making way for spring. The White Witch arrives at the Stone Table, welcomed by Aslan, who learns of Edmund's betrayal. Peter becomes 'Sir Peter Wolf's Bane' by Aslan, and prepares to rescue Edmund, knowing the Witch is coming.
Edmund is saved, qnd the Witch negotiates with Aslan, who demands Edmund. That night, Aslan is followed by Susan and Lucy, and witness his murder. The White Witch leaves as they prepare for battle with Peter and his allies. The Stone Table cracks in half, however, and Aslan is brought to life, to Susan and Lucy's joy. The two go with Aslan and revive all the Witch's victims including Tumnus. They then arrive at the battle.
Edmund has broken the White Witch's wand. Aslan shocks the White Witch and falls off a ravine. The children are crowned Kings and Queens of Narnia and rule for many years. They wander through the forest, and find the entrance back to the wardrobe, where no time had passed. Cast.
